PsychoNutrition

Brain food

PsychoNutrition deals with nutrition and its effect on the mind. Natural chemicals, such as vitamins, minerals and amino acids effect the brain's chemistry. When the brain's chemistry changes, it can effect mood swings, the ability to learn, stress levels and other activities.

Mental illness can be helped by addressing certain nutrients that are deficient in their diet or unusually high. It is very important to bring balance into the body by regulating vitamins, minerals and natural sugars found in food.

At the end of the workshop you will:

  • Promote a safe and natural approach to nutrition.
  • Learn how food can change our behaviour and mood.
  • Understand what foods and drink are a source of stress.
  • Learn about the link between hyperactivity and food additives.
  • Learn about how psycho nutrition effects depression and stress.
  • Recognise the link between certain mood disorders, food intolerances and allergies.
